Bless her heart, they are so fast moving I've been so busy trying to do everything i have not paid close attention to her left foot. Ever since, i rescued her during beginning of summer every now and then she will walk with her left foot curled up and its same toe always missing a toe nail but no blood just dirt etc so i bring her in and clean it off today .i dipped it in cornstarch, but, i think she doesn't have a toenail maybe got injured and now shes unable to grow one back? I never see any blood and its minor after i doctor her up she walked fine afterwards.

I know after an injury my dog lost a toe nail. The vet said that if the nail bed was damaged (so inside the toe at the end of the bone where the nail would attach) that it would never grow back. I'd imagine that could be the case with other animals as well.

That makes sense. The hen, otherwise is well. Besides every now and then i have to doctor her foot if it gets dried mud or curled up underneath her...seems minor butbif i google it bumble foot came up and about gave me a heart attack. :/
