Is it possible to give 1 broody hen 2 different age clutches?

Hi, I have a hen that has 5 (3 week old) Silkie chicks. Is it possible to give her som day old wyandotte chicks?

Possible? Yes. Would I try it? No.

You just never know with so may things chicken.

I think the age disparity is too great. I gave a hen chicks a week apart and it worked but by 3 weeks they're pretty independent and day olds need a lot of motherly attention which she may not be attuned to or care to do after brooding for 3 weeks.

i gave my silkie hen, who has 2 x 3 week old chicks, a day old who's mother rejected it, the silkie hen ran and hid behind the waterer...so i had to bring it inside and put it back under the original mother late that night, she now loves the little chick,
