I don't hatch, but regulating humidity is one of the things that frightens me and makes me hesitate. Too dry and the chicks could stick to the shell at hatch and bleed to death. Too wet and they could die after internally pipping before they escape the shell. You could certainly try it and may luck out. I wouldn't. There is a reason those who hatch on a regular basis, and have successful hatch rates, regulate both temperature and humidity. Why set yourself up to fail?

IF you have a hygrometer coming in the mail and are just setting these now to incubate, you will be fine running the incubator dry until the hygrometer comes in.

When it arrives, candle the eggs and check the aircells. This will tell you if you need more humidity or not. If the aircells look good for the day of incubation they are on, adjust humidity to where you want it. I run my humidity between 30-40%.

If you havnt ordered a hygrometer yet, dont set them until you do.
