Is it possible to "stagger" a hatch?

I am setting my own fertile eggs to hatch for the hatch-a-thon, but wanted to maybe throw in other breeds. But, I can't find any local ones in time, Is it possible to throw in eggs after I have started my initial batch? (like a week later?)

It seems to me, that if you need to have special humidity levels for 2 different periods (initially low then getting higher), that this might not work.

I have an automatic turner, but wouldn't be able to use it if I'm staggering a hatch because part of batch would go into lockdown sooner.

Has anyone done this or does it not work?

I don't think it would work. You mentioned humidity but also you would have to contend with having some chicks out before others. You could try it, but it would just be more difficult.
