Is it possible without air sack?

They were on day 21, but it looked like day 10-12??
By the way, are these chicken egg fertile? It's day 1.Thanks!View attachment 3306664
Definitely an issue with the temperature, then... It can really slow development. It mustve been way off for them to be THAT far behind.
Have you calibrated your thermometer?

Also its too hard to tell this early. Not much wouldve started growing. Candle again at day 5, or day 7. If theres any development at this stage it will be basically invisible to the human eye.

thanks! I will update on day 3-7! It's a brown, but not very brown egg, so would it be harder to see? (tan)

Yeah... it's kinda hard to tell at this point. Though, the dark ring on the side of the egg looks like a blood ring

I went back to check on the picture. It was actually a pencil mark. I drew an 'x' and a 'o' to see which side to turn.

Ah, ok. Makes sense😅

I'm so sorry about the quail babies though. Something similar happened to me a few years back and it hit hard
:(

It's only day 1 though. How is a blood ring possible now???
it isnt possible. Any "blood ring" youre likely to see now would more likely actually be the blood island. Which is a good and normal thing. But doesnt usually appear until day 2-4. And sometimes its very faint.
For now you just cant know if its developing, wait and candle again in a few days.
