Is it safe for adult laying hens to eat Pullet Grower Feed medicated with Amprolium?

My 15 week old pullets are eating pullet grower feed medicated with Amprolium. The label on the sack says not to feed laying birds in production. I want to integrate my flock in the coming weeks and was hoping to feed them all this grower feed and supplement the adults with egg shells/oyster shells. I don't want to waste the feed, but want to make sure its safe for my adult girls. Or should I just switch the pullets to layer feed? Separating the food is not really an option- my little pullets are piggies!! Thanks!

I don't mind waiting the week or even longer if needed. I just wasn't sure if the medication would hurt my layers. I guess I'm good to go- thanks for the info!

If the pullets aren't laying yet, they should be fine on it. It's not going to hurt the birds, it's just suggested so that you avoid any meds in the eggs you eat. So, if they are still a few weeks away from laying, I don't see the harm. Even if they start early and surprise you, you can toss the eggs for awhile if you are very concerned about it. Fyi, some suggest feeding pullets layer feed before they start laying could lead to kidney problems.
