Is it safe for my Rouen duck to be laying 3 eggs a day?

The one female needs you to protect her.  We have seen many stories of terribly injured or drowned ducks when there are too many drakes per duck.  Not to scare you, but to protect her and prevent heartache.

I have no way to seep rate them but I think she'll be ok, my drakes think the chickens are duck and mostly try to mate with them. Here is a pic of the 4 of them.

Oh gosh. Be aware that drakes mating with chicken hens can KILL them. Do some research about that. The drakes anatomy is very different than what a chicken can accept and it can be fatal if he penetrates. You can buy inexpensive fencing and cobble together two or even three areas, one for the drakes, one for the duck/drake pair and one for the chickens. I fear that in the future you will start finding some of your birds hurt or dead.

We owe our animals the responsibility of caring for them properly. There are some things that cannot be compromised on and safety is one. Please think about the advice you have been given here, and the potential suffering your animals may face.

Try an animal auction. I am going to one next month. Auction ducks can go for cheap. Any breed will do as long as they are females.
