is it safe for the chickens to eat a dead mouse

I found a dead mouse in the flower beds in my garden. Is it safe to feed the dead mouse to my silkie chickens? Or is there a chance the chicken will catch any diseases the mouse has? And if they do eat it will,there eggs still be safe to eat?

How did it die? If the cat left it behind as an offering, you could give it to the chooks if you want to. If you don't know how it died, bury it. Give your flowers a treat! My girls will shred any live mouse they find. They won't touch a dead one, even if it's offered up on a silver platter.
