The birds are all in bed and Max wouldn’t go! I think he just finally went in but he kept running around looking for his sister and clucking his head off for so long 
and then he ran in the run and jumped up high on the perch in there and was clucking even louder and frantically, presumably so his sound carried further. then he flew out like lightning screaming his head off and running around some more! He even went near the new coop and woods before, like he was actually looking. he finally went in and gave up I guess.
