Is it safe to eat eggs from a hen currently being treated with Miconazole for Sour Crop?

Started Miconazole on one of my hens yesterday and today it hit me that her eggs may not be safe for consumption during the treatment period. Any insight?

I’ve read you shouldn’t eat eggs from a chicken on other medications. While it’s a human medicine it’s not meant for oral consumption. Didn’t know if it effects the egg.

Good call on the Miconazole. Yeah, it's best to skip eating her eggs while she's on the meds. Most treatments like that make the eggs unsafe for a bit. Better safe than sorry, right? Maybe give it a couple of weeks after treatment just to be sure.

Again. There is nothing in miconazole that makes eggs unsafe to eat. It is not a toxin nor an antibiotic. It controls yeast. Women use it internally all the time with no ill effects.
