Is it safe to have two roosters living in the same area?

My experiance with that was not good,I got a new rooster from my naiboughr and I could not keep him even 5 minuts in the pen with the other rooster.
So be careful and good luck

I agree with the one that said not having good results with 2 roos, but you know, I have a pal that took one of my roos and her origional roo get along extremely well.
I shake my head and wonder what it is I do wrong. My hens fight for criminy's sake. Grrrr.

Two roosters, 16 hens, no problems. My alpha roo has 10 ladies (always the same 10), the other has 6 and everybody's happy. At first I thought it was my imagination but now I'm sure.

I have three roosters right now and I am trying to decide who to cull before winter sets in. They all get along great now, but they will have 8 months crammed in the coop together which I do believe will not work in favor of peace and harmony. Maybe the $%^&ing raccoon will kill one of them and then I will be spared the choice.

I keep wondering the same with my two. I only have 8 hens for the both of them and although one is dominant (the Jersey Giant) and the other keeps to himself and is fine with that (the BLR Wyandotte), I think things will get ugly when they both figure out what the hens are for...

Mine are almost 18 weeks, so I have a little while to go yet. But they are both sooo great I can't choose which gets sent off to the neighbor for soup!! The JG crows much more often, but who is to say if the dotte was spared he wouldn't start up and make an even louder racket??

On a side note, I would never wish for raccoons..... I have read far too many awful postings about their midnight snacking!
