is it safe to leave the run open untill 9 pm?

i was wondering if its safe to leave the chicken door open to the run until 9 pm? we will have a run the is under 1 ft and has hardware cloth and avairy netting on top.

At this time of year, my girls don't go inside until about 9PM...I don't have their close until about 9:30 (I have an auto door).

I've been keeping everything open until 9:30 or so since it's getting dark so much later. I just kinda watch the flock and when they finally wander in for bedtime, I go tuck them in and lock up.

I close the coop up before it gets dark as chickens have almost no night vision at all and they are extremely vulnerable to predators in the dark.
