Is it safe to leave this window tonight?

The coop is done and it is getting dark. This window has a screen on the bottom and no hardware cloth over it yet. However, I don't see how a racoon or varment can get into this building to the girls tonight. There is nothing for them to climb up to in order to get to this window with the screen....your thoughts?

The raccoon can jump and cling onto the screen with his hands, then rip the screen.

1/2 inch hardware cloth is the only way to go and so I would close the window.

Raccoons are very strong and agile. I have had one move a concrete block with his hands to get to one of my chickens.

They can drag a 40 lb bag of feed- I saw on the internet. They can open locks if a toddler human could do it from what I have read.

They have been known to pry metal sheds apart to get to chickens.

I read once that the only thing that will keep one out is a combination lock (ok this probably was a joke).

So did you close the window??? I hope so! I wouldn't trust any raccoon!

They can also push a closed window open if it isn't locked.
