No, no, no, no! They are not safe.... until defrosted! Try biting one of those frozen eggs and you may be paying the dentist a visit.

I just put my frozen eggs in the fridge, and use them a day or so later. Ive never had a cracked egg from being frozen.

heck, its hard enough to TRYING to crack my eggs on purpose. The girls lay some thick shelled eggs!

My experience has been that if they freeze all the way through, the yolks will jell, and then they won't whip up if you want to scramble them, and you won't be able to mix them into pancake batter or something, but if the yolks still unfrozen, they're fine. Eggs with yolks that jelled can still be hard cooked, and they're fine, too, I've eaten my share of them.

I just check the coop several times a day when it's really cold, usually I can catch them before they freeze solid. if they're cracked, I wash them immediately, while still frozen.

I have not had a frozen egg for years.. out of 55 hens, I usually have a half dozen clucks and they set on every egg until we pick them up.. I keep my coop above freezing, besides..

If you pick up eggs several times per day, you should not have any frozen ones.. I uderstand if you have to go to a job, then you can't.

well, spring is almost here, so that problem should soon be behind us..
