Is it time for full time coop residence?

My 6 chicks (3 Black Australorps, 3 Barred Rocks) will be 4 weeks old on Monday & for the last week have been spending their daylight hours in their coop. They aren't quite fully feathered, but temperatures here are pretty much perfect for the move. Highs-mid 80s, lows-high 60s. The last 2 evenings when I've gone to get them, they were already roosting on their temporary short roost. I'm a newbie at chickens, am I rushing them?

It sounds like they're ready to me. When I raise chicks in the spring, I usually have them outside full-time by the time they are four weeks old - and that includes some that I hatched at the end of January. Raising them in the Fall, I can get them out even earlier. I have a batch that were four weeks old yesterday and they have been outside full-time since they were 2 1/2 weeks old. Our temps have been 80's to 90's by day and 60's by night. Today our high was only in the high 50's (more than 30-degree difference from yesterday's high of 94), so I watched them fairly closely to make sure they were doing okay, and despite the light drizzle most of the day, they seemed just fine. So they are in the coop for the night even though it will no doubt get even colder tonight. The coop is draft-free and dry, which are the main criteria for me. If they are subject to drafts wherever they are roosting, that is when you'll have an issue.
