Is it TOO cheap? Christmas Help

Fleece mittens can be hand sewn... super easy... the scarf is just a 6" wide cut with the fringe cut at the ends...

Those no bake cookies are super easy and it makes a huge batch. We love them.

People should be grateful to get a gift. I love homemade or handmade gifts.

I do know. Do you want the recipe for the cookies in a jar? You layer the dry ingredients and attach instructions. Glass jars can be found at thrift stores for almost nothing. Or you can eat a lot of spaghetti this month!

Homemade presents are the best because they come from the heart!

I think I have some spare Mason jars around. The spaghetti I make MUST be from scratch, so I've never eaten Ragu or anything like that.

I can do chocolate no-bakes REALLY easily, so I think I'll go that route, but if you could pass along that recipe for cookies in a jar, I could go ahead and make some of those too!

Thanks for the help guys!!!

Cookies in a Jar:

1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoons baking soda
3/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
3/4 cups brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar

Mix the first three ingredients and put that on the bottom... pack it down, the layer the others in order packing down after each one.

Instructions to attach:

Preheat oven to 375. Beat 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, 1 large egg and 3/4 teaspoon vanilla in a large bowl until blended. Add cookie mix and nuts if you desire. Mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoon on a baking sheet and cook for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. Makes about 2 dozen cookies. Merry Christmas!!!!

I am sooo glad I found this. I could not figure out how to make my recipe small enough for the jars!!!!

Every year I make canned items for the family. During the picking season I pick as much of the cheaper fruit as I can....peaches and strawberries and tomatoes get cut up and frozen in freezer bags. I have a mulberry tree in my yard that gives almost TOO much berries. Some years we get an abundance of beach plums that grow wild in my area(these can also be frozen). Then starting in November I thaw out what I have as I need them and make mixed fruit jams and salsa. I also make red pepper jam, cranberry jam, and apple butter. Everyone looks forward to getting them every year.

Don't underestimate your blanket. When my Stepdad was sick...I ran to my knitting machine...that's right a machine, not even by hand...and pulled out one of my favorite colored walmart special yarns. It was probably a worsted weight bernat in a beautiful blue, and an alternating grey color. I zipped off a few large squares, then I crocheted them together, put a quick edging around it and federal expressed it off to him.

He loved it and used it a lot when he was sick. After he passed away my mom put it up. Last year she moved up to stay with my Grandparents. Last Christmas Grampa got really sick. Some idiot had come to Thanskgiving with a cold and he ended up with Pneumonia. It took him almost the whole year to recover (age 90). She brought out that blanket and he kept it on his lap the whole year. Would not let any one touch it. He loved on it and rubbed it and just said how warm it kept him and how much he loved it.

It was just a little lap blanket that I knew wouldn't get caught in a wheel chair. But two men I love have loved it and used it.

So put your love into those blankets and know that each one of them will feel that love when they use it!
