Is it too late to add water?

I put some eggs in the incubator about 24 hours ago and I just realized I forgot to add water! Is it too late to have a wet hatch or do i have to continue with the dry hatch? (this is my first time incubating btw)

I hope all works well! I don't think it would hurt to add water now but maybe someone more experienced can chime in!

Haha! I'm hatching silkies and they're on day 3! Hatch day is March 3rd!

Adding water should be fine. Because the water evaporates, you will probably have to add water several times during incubation.

Water can be added to an incubator at any time. First see what your humidity is. If it needs to be higher add a bit at a time until you have the humidity you want. Remember it is the amount of surface area on the water that will contribute to your humidity.
