I was at a poultry show and there was a breeder who said that you can keep a serama or two seramas inside a large parrot cage because they are small, flighty, and can perch on a round dowel like a parrot. Is this really true? Has anybody done this before and can you provide pictures of your setup please?

I wonder if by "large parrot cage" they meant an aviary, which is much different than the typical tiny cages you'd see at a pet store.
Like this for example:

I havevmine in an extra large dog crate with lots of activities, swings they go out most days from 11 until sundown in a outdoor dog pen 12x12 that has been predator proofed..they can eat bugs dirt bath etc..I did have to add a dirt bath during the snow and hard freeze as I find they are not cold tolerant..

They also get free time in the animal room as long as their isn't a quarantined bird/s in there

An aviation would be great..they are extremely small so very important to protect them..I free range 100% with my other birds ( over 6 acres) so I prefer natural but I also like alive..they make my other bantam look big
