Is it true that Silkies have....

Hi,

I was thinking about getting some silkies for brooding and I heard that they have four toes? Is that true?

I just didn't want to get some and think they were deformed or something! LOL That would be funny... in a way.

They have 5 toes on each foot. Most birds only have 4.

Hehe, Actually they have FIVE toes!!! I included a picture of one of our silkie chicks feet before they get all feathery so you can see what their feet look like.

yep, 5 toes, also black skin and hope you dont see them, but they have black bones too which I think is pretty cool, black bones that is

yep, if that's your goal, cant beat them, cochins are a good choice as well, those two breeds are the tops for brooders
