I could talk about my opinions on here all day but that probably wouldn’t end well for me.

I called my good friends at my local feed and seed store and they get all of their deliveries of chicks via USPS and their suppliers heard about this rumor and debunked it a couple of weeks ago.

Now on to some important news, Elvis is alive and well in Tucson and was spotted at a diner eating a PBJ and Banana sammich...

I totally agree that the tutorials are great, but I wouldn't rely on it for world news.

Youtube is a platform, not a news-producer. That's like saying you wouldn't rely on paper for news. What makes YouTube cooler than cable news is that you can find people that don't rely on all the same advertisers for revenue.

I watch Democracy Now on YouTube, and enjoy the respectfulness and seriousness when they do the news/interviews. The Unreported World is great for longer, more unusual stories. I used to also watch PBS on YouTube, they are similar in that they don't yell over each other or speak condescendingly/angrily in order to get viewers. Now I can only handle so much news in a day, since it makes me cry constantly. I have to go hug my dog or hang with my chickens and try to remember how much good there is in the world.

See how I brought it full circle back to chickens, lol.

So here's another thought I had about mailing chicks through the mail. But this time its in a different direction.

I SERIOUSLY hope and want people to know that stopping mailing chicks/ducklings through the mail would be disastrous to society.

Here's some things I noticed.

I didn't want to initially order chicks through the mail. But when I started looking at local adds of people selling chicks etc not very many people were being honest in the adds.

This mostly took the form of selling chicks they later thought were boys, while keeping the hens for themselves. And if you are trying to get chicks or ducklings for eggs that's a disaster. (Similar to selling a lemon car.)

Its really unfair also to be misleading people like that. And then they don't find out for months that they've been spending time and money for a dead end.

I think this is what happened to me also.

So I would say going to some online hatchery to order is actually the only way for us to be safe and really not get scammed.
