...out of all the different breeds we have, my Pekins (The ones I got from Puddle Foot Farms rescue) have become my favorites? I just love the big splash of white in the yard and their loud mouths.

They're so pretty and snowy white and their personalities are lovely. 2 of them have fallen in lust with my male rouen and follw him around shamelessly, the hussies. It's so funny.

I know many people think Pekins are boring.... but I just love my 6. They're awesome

They are beautiful! xxxx It not weird that you love them, it'd be weird if you didn't! Love the little hussies too, they are too cute.

Those ducks look wonderful- and very happy to be living at your place. It was wonderful of you to offer them a home after there not so nice begginings.

I have to say I love my runners more- as the interact with me better- but I do love the pair of Pekins I have. While my Runners can be mud covered in wet weather- the pekins are always pure white. While My runners are lovely all moving in their flock- the Pekins are just as cute waddling around. Plain white certainly isnt boring.... What they lack in colour they do make up for in personality.

I have Golden White Layers which look just like Pekins to me, and I just love them too! I love having the big white ducks, I love all my other ducks, and the Runners are my favorite breed, but I couldn't imagine not having any all white ducks around.

Yes, Pekins are Wonderful!!! I rehomed my pair but do miss them. They were always running around talking up a storm.

Well behaved too! Easy to "catch up" when I needed to for some reason, quacking like crazy but not struggling at all.... Big fluffy white talking pillows!

Thanks for the pics! Your pekins are beautiful! I don't think Pekins are boring at all (not that I have any other breed to compare to). My three are almost 4 weeks and they've kept me VERY entertained. They are also very social with me, IF i squat down to their level they come running! I can't wait until they are fully feathered! I have no problem telling mine apart. The bills are all slightly different shades and shapes. Also one looks like he/she gets the most food! Of course they all have different personalities when it comes to playing in the water!

Thanks everyone. They are sweet aren't they?

Javajanie.. I said the same thing when they got here.. How on earth will I ever tell them apart? But you'd be surprised. Each of their personalities is different, once you get used to them you can see differences.

duckyfromoz... I have a couple of runners too... they're still in the newbie pen and run and not quite big enough to be let out with the rest of the flock yet. They're really eager to be out and when I let the other ducks out in the morning the runners make a loud quacking fuss because they want to be with them. The other ducks lay around the outside of the runners little run during the day because its shaded, so they're all getting used to each other. I keep telling them, "Just a little while longer girls, and you'll be running with the big ducks too.

I have a duck addiction... just like all of you said I would when I came to BYC with my first 3 ducks. The flock has grown much bigger now. And ya know what? I love it!
