Out of the six chicks we got last week, I've chosen one to be my favorite. I know it's not fair... mother's shouldn't pick favorites, but I just can't help it. [IMG]

Isn't she a pretty two week old? Are we still thinking RIR?

I don't think you can help but have a favorite lol....
BUT as they grow you might change your mind since they all seem to have a different personality.

I have 100+ chickens and and a favorite. He is the only one that will jump onto my shoulder and tolerates petting and being picked up lol

Totally fine. I used to have 45 hens, but only one was named. We called her Esmerelda, and she was like a puppy -- if we were outside, she was within 10 feet of us. A friend of my mom's was sitting at the picnic table on our pool deck once, and Esmerelda sneaked under the table to peck at her freshly painted red toenails. [IMG]
Their personalities are so cute and unique, it would be impossible not to have a favorite.
