Is it wrong to have a favorite? LOL

Out of the six chicks we got last week, I've chosen one to be my favorite. I know it's not fair... mother's shouldn't pick favorites, but I just can't help it.

Isn't she a pretty two week old? Are we still thinking RIR?

I don't think you can help but have a favorite lol....
BUT as they grow you might change your mind since they all seem to have a different personality.

I have 100+ chickens and and a favorite. He is the only one that will jump onto my shoulder and tolerates petting and being picked up lol

Totally fine. I used to have 45 hens, but only one was named. We called her Esmerelda, and she was like a puppy -- if we were outside, she was within 10 feet of us. A friend of my mom's was sitting at the picnic table on our pool deck once, and Esmerelda sneaked under the table to peck at her freshly painted red toenails.

Their personalities are so cute and unique, it would be impossible not to have a favorite.

Ransom is my fav roo
Renni is my fav cochin
Ryder is my fav white silkie
Reagan is my fav partridge silkie
Raya is my fav golden comet
Dia is my fav girl chick born there
Noche is my fav boy chick born there
Roxie is my fav RIR
and Noah is my fav crooked-beaked chicken

... hey, that's 11 favorites! lol...
