Is it wrong to kiss your chicken?

That's what I do also! Especially after seeing one of our outside hens prolapsing (she's at home with us at the moment and on the mend), I realize what a job it is to lay eggs. So of course I have to thank them for it.

And yeah, I kiss and smooch them all the time, well the ones that have chosen to be my friends, and they love it and can't get enough!

Hey fishnet, my pekin is like an Aussie bantam cochin, and that's the one I want to nuzzle. But she gets stomped on by the bigger chickens.

I think that there is some sort of sickness going around. i couldnt find a name for it so im just going to make one up "chicklorodus" it is a sickness that a lot of peopl are getting. Signs of it are:
-kissing and hugging your chickens
-feeding them lots of treats
-spending over 1000$ on a coop to keep them safe and warm
-wanting to buy any chicken that you see
-buying them only the best grain
-and taking them inside when it is cold outside

I and many others have been contaminated by this sickness, it is common to any one that has ever seen a chicken and or touched a chicken or even talked about a chicken.

Not a chicken kisser...at all.

BUT, my daughter just fessed up that she kissed her little hen ONCE. She stresses she did it ONCE.

I kiss mine. Possibly even more creepy I smell them a lot. Bury my face in their feathers and just breathe deeply. I love it.
