Is Julep Actually a Pekin?

The pekin drakes are all smaller than muscovy drakes!!

The size differential makes me wonder why my pekin drakes are mean to my musovy drakes that can turn the pekins on their backs and stand on them. But pekins are by and large air heads!

It's normal for them to get freckles, right? I was looking at pics of Julep when I brought her home, and she doesn't have any then. She's got a bunch now.

Both she and my Runner have freckles. My Call, Cheddar, has 1 freckle.

We had pekin hatch with yellow bills and with pink bills. It did not seem to be related to the sex but I never did figure it out. We recently ate and sold all the pekin. It's great to be rid of them because the pekin were aggressive and kept everything in turmoil. Now we have two Welsh Harlequin, two Rouen and four to six (depending on the day) free-flying Hawaiian mallard-type hybrids that all get along and can eat out of the same trough.
