Hello there!

I got some Legbar chickens back in July. They're auto sexing, and were meant to be pullets.

They're six months old now, and I still have two. They look entirely different from one another. I feel that the more orangey one is probably a rooster. He/She has never crowed, or harassed the hens, however.

Kevin/Kady is in the background and the gen of the same breed, Regina, is in the foreground.

Are you in the US? Just wondering what variety of Legbar they're supposed to be. They're not Cream Crested, which is pretty much what we have in the States.

Is it weird that he hasn't tried any amorous attempts with the ladies or crowing?

They're meant to be cream legbars, but they could be anything.

From how developed he looks, I'd expect crowing, etc. So yes, I'd say it's odd he's not. But what are you going to do about it? Pretty much nothing to be done, just wait.

in my limited experience, I've found the slower developing cockerels to have greater manners around the girls - that can be a blessing

That's good to hear! I'm a little disheartened, because I really have no need or desire for a rooster :/
