My two roosters like to jump in my lap and be held, is this odd?

Maybe not odd, just extremely cute :) they probably enjoy being patted as much as all of your hens and don't want to miss out on all of the fun :)

I had on of my golden comets jump into my lap when I got in my car yesterday. I think she wanted to go for a ride!

My son has 2 favorite chickens - one is a Tetra Tint hen that just started laying in July and the other is a OEGB rooster. Both of those chickens seek him out. They come running when he's outside and love to be held and carried around by him. Although I haven't seen the rooster jump up in his lap, it surely wouldn't surprise me if it happened.

I don't think so. I have a buff orpington who sits on my lap when I am in the run area.

My 3 year old daughter decided to go outside yesterday afternoon to play with her big brother and left the door open. About a minute later, I look over to the kitchen and see one of my golden Comets just walking around. I called to her and she just waddled over to me like my cat would.

It depends how you raise roosters...but it is more common for them to be aggressive, but i have a rooster that follows me around and sits in my lap and is friendlier than ALL of my hens!
