Hi! My fav girlie lavender (she's a Bluebelle) was/is egg bound. Basically mon she was squatting/staring her vent area. By mid avo I decided to give her a bath (didn't pass anything..) then wrapped her in a towel n up to the vets. When the vet n I unwrapped her, she had laid a giant goose size egg, followed by 2-3 egg yolks (no shells). Vet sent me home with antibiotics (as she felt fluidy i her Abdomin). Anyway, I kept her at vets for a few nights (mainly, I didn't want to see her die, as I would get just too upset). Got her home weds, had a little bit if straining. I think she is laying eggs again... As I had several brown eggs laid (others lay blue n bantams are only small) ..so guessing one was lavenders. By today u didn't see her straining and she seems normal. Got to keep her on antibiotics for a week and she's got metacam (antimflammatory and pain relief). Is it likely that she's back to norm now? Do u think this will keep happening? xxx
