Is lawn fertilizer bad for chicks?

Hi I'm new to the chicken thing and I just got my chickies this Monday. So I let them go on the lawn for a couple of minutes so they could pick up some bugs and grit and I think they ate some fertilizer. Is that poisonous? I don't know what kind of fertilizer it was because we just moved here and it was already spread on the lawn.

! Pleased you joined us! I would certainly discontinue the practice of letting them roam where there is fertilizer out. Not sure if all types are harmful or in what amounts, but any amount certainly can't be good for them. Below is a link where this topic was discussed. I'm sure there are others. Good luck to you!
