Is laying an egg painful? Can an egg come out sideways? Sometimes it sounds like it.

There's the normal hen laying sound but every once in awhile a hen sounds like she is saying "ouch ouch OUCH OUCH!!"

Normal egg laying sounds around here is a shout, "im about to lay an egg, i just laid an egg!" But sometimes it sounds like a scream, "get this egg out of me!!!!!!"

Not seeing any other signs of issues, all appear happy otherwise.
