is mash ok to feed as starter for chicks

I missed that part about NYC!! Soo, how does one go about keeping chickens in NYC out of curiousity? I think you chose just the right thing to bring you joy! Have fun and don't stay up all night watching them! LOL (my downfall)

thanks for the good thoughts and encouragement - as for keeping chickens in nyc - it is perfectly legal to keep chickens as long as you dont create a nuisance (smell/noise/loose chickens running the streets - just picture that last one!) it is not legal to keep roosters as they create a noise nuisance - they also give cause for investigators to gain access to areas where cockfighting may be practiced, which is a felony in almost all the states if you are a participant (your bird) and a misdemeanor if you are a spectator. i should'nt have any issue regarding nuisance complaints from my neighbors because they know about the chicks and were very excited and positive - i have also been feeding them (the neighbors) organic fruit and veggies that i grow. one neighbor pet sits for many tiny noisy dogs and the other guys are a thrash metal band so i dont think they hear anymore. as for space i have a garden and a small coop and small run and only have 5 chickens and already have some homes for the packing peanuts that turn out to be roosters. i try to make the most use of my space.
