Is mcmurray hatchery good?

I've ordered from McMurray several times and been very satisfied. I agree with some of the earlier responses. The weather plays a very big part in receiving healthy chicks. I live in mid-Michigan and have always waited to get my chicks until late April or early May. Yes, I hate to wait, but in getting them that late in the spring, they've always arrived from McMurray in great shape. If I've had questions or needed advice, they have always been very helpful. Perhaps their birds mught not be show quality, but the ones I received have always been true to type. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.

They ARE good for standards. Bantams...not really. The last shipment in from a friend of mines and my order, pretty much all the banty chicks didn't make it. Its so bad because it was like, left overnight @ the post for 2 days because of whatever it is...

This is my 2 cents take it for what it worth, I personally have Never used them but 3 people I know ordered for them ( 4h kidz) and the chicks arrived alright but......... there orders were all mixed up got things they didnt order and what they got that was ordered was some of the poorest examples of the breed. Example : sebrights with standard combs and sickle feathers and much much to big. Not a good feeling to tell a child his chicken he got to show was junk ( ( no I wasnt there at oredring time) So if you want something fun to run around your yard and give you eggs I say go for it but if u want something really nice find a breeder
