My wife makes wonderful millet muffins. Millet is a good energy substitute but is low is protein I believe this is why they mix some grains together as a scratch feed.

Our goose gets millet every day. We call it goose candy. When ever we leave my hubby gives him his candy. He has now come to expect it every time he knows we are leaving. The wild birds come around & clean up what he drops. My girls will fight over any leftovers if they can get into his fenced in area.

Mine love it. We have planted a 20 x 250' strip of millett for them to eat later in the year.
