Hi all,
This is our first time having chickens and I got 4 Buff Orpingtons from a feed store in May.
For about the past 4 weeks or so, one has been particularly aggressive. When I come in to their run to change their water or feed them, I get attacked by her... or him? Not always, but more often than not. Here are some pics.
Thank you all so much in advance for any feedback!

hen. I have had a couple aggressive ones. Sometimes if you dont have a rooster a hen will step up

That is all hen. You need to put her in her place and quickly... that’s completely unacceptable behavior.
True.
I used a gravel-in-a-can shaker to ward off my evil Orp. And a good few whacks. (she was terrible)!

You could put on heavy pants and boots, then pretend the chicken isn't there. At some point she will probably get tired of being kicked and stepped on, and give you more space.

Even if her behavior doesn't improve, at least your feet and legs would be safe while you are figuring out other solutions.
