Is my 5-6 week old EE a cockerel or a pullet???

I agree. I have 6 EEs that are 12 weeks old now and are all supposed to be pullets, and I believe they are. None of them have that much comb growth - not even close. You can hardly see any combs on them at all at this point. I am sorry you got a boy, can you keep him anyway?

I do have to say about the tail, though, that all 6 of my pullets have very long tails, so I don't think that's an indicator, but the comb sure says "boy" to me.

Thanks for all the opinions-although it wasn't what I was hoping for. I will not be able to keep him-which is really unfortunate because I think he is a beautiful bird, and my 2.5 year old son really loves him.

Ok that makes me feel better. I already have one roo from the pullet bin didnt want two
