Is there a way to tell at 8 weeks if my Americana is a rooster or a hen? It's tail feathers look different than my other hens so I'm curious. Welcome! Looks like a hen to me.

What is the difference between them? Our poor little Alice had a horrible accident and died today. We are heartbroken, but can't leave our barred rock by herself. Going to get a 2 month old americuana tomorrow and I want to make sure I get a pullet
