Is my baby a rooster Cornish broiler 3 weeksish

View attachment 1500824 Trying to figure out if our baby is a rooster. He was the runt of the bunch. diffrent from the others in behaivor and color. Longer and more skinny. His head has a slightly different shape and size (the diffrence is slight) also tail is thinner and longer. His behaivor could be different since Dad gives his baby Scruffy a lot more attention and babies him much more than the others.

Are you keeping him long term?Cornish cross are ment for meat and don't do well long term. They only live for so long and they have health problums mainly heart and leg issues after a year. If kept for long term you may get him to live longer then a year if he is put on a diet close kept eye on his food intake make sure he dosent over eat and constant exsersize. Free range would be ideal for exsersize.

We are definitely Keep I g long term and they are organic free range babies

Ok sounds like you know what your doing just watch his food intake closely.
Consider feeding fermented feed and only 2x a day mornin and night.that way he dosent have access to food 24/7 and eats all day. Corn is a no no but fresh veggies and fruits for treats are good ideas. With constant vigilance he can grow up and enjoy a longer life then normal.

I was surprised to see chicks and ducks at Tractor Supply today. They had these guys--so cute. I couldn't buy one on purpose because I don't free range and I would worry about their health. Good Luck with yours.

I raised some cornish cross not too long ago. They were good tempered birds. I did process the males, but couldn't bring myself to process the three females. I gave them to my sister in law and they free range around her property with a red rooster. They are doing pretty good and seem healthy for now. Boy do those suckers grow fast and eat a ton if you let them. Good luck with your baby. I agree with it being male.
