Well CRUD! I was hoping for a late developing rooster. I have a pullet and was wanting to sell them as a pair. Oh well guess I may just have to keep them for myself!
Bec, in response to your question. I said it`s a boy because of the way it stands upright and it`s feathers on it`s butt. Female orpingtons are mini replicas of adult hens at that age, the males resemble, for lack of a better term, a ball with a head and legs sticking out of it. At 4-5 months combs and wattles don`t tell you much at all.
I have about 10 orpingtons that same age, blues,black,splash and all my males look like that one, all my females look like my adult hens. Just my opinion from my own experiences.
