Is my cat pregnant?

She and the male are not fixed the male is getting fixed soon. I do not think she has gone into heat yet, so she might be soon then. I can see if I can bring her to the vet.

Even if you get your male fixed, some other male could come visiting.

So if you do not want her to have kittens, I strongly recommend that she be spayed as soon as possible. Especially with spring coming, which is the time when many animals tend to get pregnant and have babies.

If she had been in heat, one or both of them would have been screaming, followed by what sounds like a cat fight, but is usually mating. When I lived in Brooklyn, people just left their windows open for their cats, didn’t have their cats altered, and they were always screaming in the courtyard for mates. Once in heat, I think it lasts a week or 2, but only like 1 week is when she can get pregnant, outside of that time, she will flirt with the males, but attack them if they try to mate.

Her and the male do fight a lot. They have been chasing each other around and do get pretty rough. They could just be playing though. She could have gone into heat and I didn’t notice, but I am pretty sure that I would have noticed.

Or, she went into heat, the day she went into heat he mated her, and then she went out of heat once she got pregnant.

As she's an outside cat, if she's not pregnant, she will be soon. You are GUARANTEED to have kittens before June if you don't get her spayed.

She can be spayed the first month of pregnancy, but there's usually an extra charge.

If she's outright feral, there are places that will loan you a live trap and spay her very cheaply if you bring her in in the trap. They will tip her ear so that she can be identified on sight as a spayed feral, to keep her from being caught and the surgery started again.
