I would have to say my chicken is molting too!

My girls are 10.5 months old, and the BA started looking ragged on her breast a couple of weeks ago. Then a patch on her back right at the base of the tail. And then tail feathers. Everything sticks out ad odd angles--I guess as they're loosening up they don't lay right. Poor thing--she's my pretty little girly-girl.

The golden comet started late last week with body feathers, and now the EE, tail feathers are getting all wonky. The SLW hasn't started yet as far as I can tell.

What a ragtag bunch! But they're all active and good body condition and able to snag anything that leaps, flies or crawls. One nailed my too-curious, butt-sniffing dog on the nose the other day.
