Is my chicken ready to lay an egg?

My hen (6 months) is an Austra White and she has been behaving stranger than she normally behaves. Lately, she has been getting into places she usually wouldn’t go into. She makes some weird noises sometimes and is very aggressive towards every other chicken while they feed, she even bullies off the rooster who is pretty tough. Is she ready to lay, or is she just weird? Because I am getting ready to put a desensitized area for eggs.

She may already be laying, check the places she's been getting into, you may find an egg.
Do you have ceramic eggs or golf balls in the nests? GC

I have yet to place the nests and I will check for eggs right now
