Hello, I'm new here and to owning chickens. I have 3 Jersey Giants that I've had for about 2 months now and they are about 1-1/2 to 2 years old. They've laid eggs since their 2nd day of being here. Well they stopped laying eggs about 2 weeks ago (due to moulting) and today at feeding time one was acting like a completely different hen. Usually at feeding time they flock me ready to eat but today one of them just laid there and when I dumped the food she got up and walked off. I noticed her poop was runny with a brownish/red color and her comb is droopy and pale.

Is my hen sick? Do I need to separate her from my other hens??
Thank in advance!

Others with more experience may be able to suggest what the problem could be, but i would certainly advise isolating her until you know whats wrong with her. You could also give vitamins / electrolytes in her water in the meantime.

Good luck

I would make more observations, so far, I am unsure whether your bird is ill or not.
