Is my chook a rooster?

He looks very rooster like to me after looking thru the net but can someone tell me for sure? It's a frizzle

Yeah they seem to be hard to find much on. do hens have big cones like that?

How old is the bird? Adult hens may have combs that large, but that appears to be a cockerel.

It is apparently 4months. Is that because of the colour or size of the comb or wattle or is there another reason it's a cockerel?

That is definitely a rooster, he's a nice looking fella, at that age the females have small orange combs.

Another reason your bird is a cockerel, beside the comb, is the solid black chest and the dark red on the wings/shoulders. It's male specific coloring.
