I have no pictures, just a quick question. I have four 16 wk old bantams, one cockrell ( think hes a RIR), two buff cochins(obviously hens) and one black cochin ( sex was a question mark). The Roo has been crowing for at least 2 months already! About two weeks ago, he started trying to mount the two buff girls, much to their dismay. They carry on like nothing else. I was worried about the black cochin, because it has a darker red comb and more red around the face than the buffs. Also, my roo was not attempting to mount it. But, yesterday I heard this commotion from the coop, and low and behold, he was trying to mount the black cohcin. This means it is a hen, right?? I am a chicken newbie and LOVE this black cochin, so this is GREAT NEWS. I cannot keep Roos here.
Thanks
