Is my Dark Brahma Bantam a roo or pullet?

I am not certain....the males get a lot of white on them and I see that starting with yours.

Yeah I keep looking and remain uncertain. Hatchery birds are often not "to standard". That means feather pattern may be off a bit.

I have a bantam silver laced that has markings so bad her name is Smudge.

That’s a cute name. I named him/her Samson because of the big personality. Not really experienced here, but I guess as it grows I’ll get a better comparison...lol

Yes.. that’s what 21hens-incharge told me and I’m glad to know the truth. I was going by what I was told, but yes after looking up the info given to me, it’s definitely clear that it’s a Birchin Cochin. But the sex not so clear yet. The comb and wattle color makes me lean more towards male. Any ideas?

agreed, the single comb instead of pea comb says cochin, and a cockerel.
