My doe is due this friday. February the 8th. Today she is at day 142. She is a nigerian dwarf. Since yesterday evening shes been panting and breathing harder. And her vulva looked bigger.
This is my first time with a goat ready to kid soon. I wanted to know what are some signs that shes in labor.
Usually shes up and walking around but yesterday morning when i called her over to eat she always runs to me but this time she was in her pen in the corner just laying there. She didnt look uncomfortably, but like she was just relaxing. Then later that day around she started breathing harded and i could see the babies moving. She wanted me to be near here. So all night and this morning every 1-2 hours ill check to see how shes doing. Her breathing has gotten heavier along with what sound like small pushing when she breathes out. Her bag has been filling up and when she lays down her vulva looks more open. I havent really seen any discharge. Just a little bit of a wettish look.
