Is my Dominique a roo?

Wondering if one of my two Dominique's is a roo or any others?

It has the wrong comb to be a Dominique, so I would say you have a barred rock there, looks to be a cockerel as well.

Wow was told when we bought they were Dominique. You guys are great. I suspected the one was a roo what are the signs? I am ok with having a roo we live in the country.

The light colouring is one give away that its a roo, with barred breeds the males are much lighter in colour then the females.
The second barred chick looks male too just from how light the barring is.

In many areas folks will call any barred chickens dominiques, which is incorrect. Dominiques only come with rose combs, your chicks look to have single combs which would make them barred rocks( in combination with those yellow legs).
