Is my duck too fat?

My female muscovies bottom has been drooping. She's been laying quite a lot so I'd assume that she'd get a little fat.

I've never heard of a fat duck, they usually regulate there weight based on conditions of there confinement. Sorry not helpful.

She looks like any other laying age scovy hen I have seen.

No, that was helpful! I'm a first time duck owner so I was worried that it couldn't manage it's weight while living in a duck run. I always watch them gobble up food, stuffing themselves so I was worried they'd become obese.

My other female isn't as fat. Her bottom isn't sagging but she still lays too.

Not all look the same, but from the Muscovies I've seen she looks normal.

My ducks ate a lot too but they weren't confined, always swimming in the koi pond I had. I use to give them small live trout or large minnows to chase in the pond, figured it be good exercise. It was fun to watch them catch them and gobble it up in one mouthful.

Looks like a bright, healthy hen to me. The fat you're seeing near her abdomen usually occurs once they start laying.
