So my EE, Vanilla, has been puzzling me. She is a beautiful 1-2 week old chick, and as her wing feathers came in I started to wonder what she would look like. Her wing feathers have slight patterns, and she has faint cream and gray chipmunk stripes on her back and head. Here are some pics of her:

Any feedback is appreciated!
ETA: I do know she is an EE, but I was just wondering if her coloring would be close to blue wheaton.

The wonderful thing about EE's is even if they look similar, no two are are really ever the same. My lovely EE... I also thought blue wheaten at first :D... she throws some pretty blue chicks and is my favorite hen ever... crazy as you could imagine, and full of character... luckily she's also fairly confident. Check her out as see... it ends up nothing like blue wheaten.. I'll post both if I can...

The blue wheaten will not be hatched with a chipmunk stripe for starters. They look like buff chicks... They also won't get that pattern seen on the wings... stay pretty buff-ish. I've been working with standard wheaten for a while, blue just washes out the tail and black on the wings that hidden by the triangle. I don't have all the terminology down yet though. Only since working with them does it make it easy to discern subtle differences int he pattern. Please know, I mean no snootiness and think your gal will probably not be close to blue wheaten in pattern but maybe in color. Your patter will be much more unique... and thus also beautiful! ;)

BTW, I love the name Vanilla for her! I hope you will tag me and update this thread so others who have the same questions can see how she progresses. :pop

Ok! Thank you! I was hoping for her to be blue wheaton in color, but still have a pattern on her feathers. Maybe, maybe not!
That is all good to know. I will update you!:D

Update: She is definitely not a blue wheaten. She is the EE in my profile pic. I'll post pics tomorrow. @EggSighted4Life sorry this took so long!
