We have an egg that I believe is overdue. It still has visable vessels, but didn't see any movement the last time candeling. Thoughts?

Hello! If the egg still has visible vessels, then chances are it is still alive. In my experience, they don’t move all the time. If I had a picture I could give you my thoughts!
30Yes, still looks alive to me! Those veins look healthy. What day is it on?
Oh wow, it is far along! I have never incubated game birds, so I don’t know the period either. But by the look of things it has at least a couple more days
Actually…I would not really advise that. If it has veins it is still alive, and putting it in water could drown it even if it had a microscopic hairline crack. The float test should really be a last resort when you are almost 100% sure it is dead. But this is just my experience! If it's not pipped put it in some warm water and if it moves its alive if it doesn't move it is probably dead
Yes I've always used it on day 25 do for chicken eggs I dont know the incubation duration of the specific bird they are hatching but they are on day 30Actually…I would not really advise that. I know, I was very surprised when I read that! But it appears alive…maybe it is just a late hatch?Yes I've always used it on day 25 do for chicken eggs I dont know the incubation duration of the specific bird they are hatching but they are on day 30
